Grolsch |

By Arjan Kaaks
Royal Grolsch N.V. actively supports the establishment of international education in Twente that should provide a curriculum recognised by the International Baccalaureat Organisation in Switserland. This is why I participate in the SIO - Foundation and why we contribute financially.
For organisations both in the private sector and in science and education it is imperative that we can attract and retain talent both from abroad and within the Netherlands. Already today we have in Twente quite an international community active in research and education at the Twente University, in companies such as Eaton, Thales, Nijverdal ten Cate, HITEC, Grolsch, TKH and in many other places. Supporting the SIO Twente and international education was the obvious decision for Thales Nederland. Thales is a truly international company; we employ over 70.000 people worldwide. Most of our employees are highly skilled people whose career paths often require international relocation. Many relocated employees are accompanied by their partners and children. International education is a major factor when considering an international transfer.
It is Thales’ Human Resources policy ‘People1st’ that supports its employees with modern people management tools consisting of attractive up or above market labour conditions. Read more

By Marcel Wentink
We support international education in Twente for several reasons. Main motivation is that SIO in combination with the high quality technical education in Twente offers a breeding ground for future skilled and well educated Hitec personnel. Our people and their knowledge are the core assets of our company. All Hitec employees must be able to communicate in English in their daily business, as our business is an international business. Next to that we have eight subsidiaries worldwide, so we offer our people the opportunity to develop their careers abroad. Read more
