Arjen Lammers, Director Thales University of Thales Nederland since April 2006, has over 16 years of experience in high-tech defence. Graduated in technical computer science at TUE in 1992, he started his career as a software engineer at Hollandse Signaalapparaten, presently known as Thales Nederland. Through the offset obligations emanating from the international contracts the company concludes, he has gained international experience in teaching and supporting customers with respect to setting up local Software Development Centres. His career continued in the company's Learning & Development organization, stimulating and organising the professional development of employees varying from technical development to management development. The Thales University is responsible for the overall Learning & Development activities of the Thales group that employs 70.000 staff members and is located at seven sites all over the world.

Arjen is married and has three children.
